Oct. 7, 2024 – INDIO, CA – Los Alegres del Barranco will bring their exciting Norteño hits to the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Saturday, March 29, 2025. From a young age the friends practiced and rehearsed constantly and in 2005, construction workers working nearby heard them and asked them to play a few songs. For the first time, they got paid for their performance. The young men were doing what they loved and this event inspired them to form the group, and Los Alegres del Barranco was formed.
The band has been playing music together for more than 19 years with the original members and are known for their passionate and festive stage presence. In 2008 they were hired for their first gig in Los Angeles at the El Parral nightclub and filled the venue.
The group consists of members José Pavel Moreno (accordion and second vocals), Armando Moreno (bajo sexto and lead vocals), José Carlos Moreno (electric bass), and Cristóbal Reyes (drums).
Eventually they began to make themselves known through various social media channels and the group found success on the internet, without commercial radio exposure or music videos.
Los Alegres del Barranco maintain a unique and distinctive style, showcasing musical creativity and composing their own songs, a notable early fan includes Peso Pluma, who started listening to corridos by Los Alegres del Barranco.
Los Alegres del Barranco has more than 20 original albums, including: Y Ahora Te Vas, El Terror, Las Angustias, Mi Luna, Mi Estrella, Corridos con Banda, Pisteando en el Rancho (with Tololoche), and duets like “El Dos de Los Antrax,” “Los Demonios” accompanied by Panter Bélico, “La Belikiza” with Los Farmerz, and their latest single, “El Zarco.” These works have made Los Alegres del Barranco one of the greatest artists of regional Mexican music.
