In 2006, at just 16 years old, Eden Muñoz started his musical career as the lead vocalist of the group Colmillo Norteño. He released three albums with the group: El Cid, 2009, and Sueño Guajiro. After leaving Colmillo Norteño, Eden released the album Renovar o Morir under the name Puro Colmillo Norteño. Due to the group’s new sound and concept, the name was changed to Calibre 50.
With this group, Eden Muñoz reached an international audience, releasing 13 studio albums and 3 live albums. He received multiple nominations and awards, such as Premios Lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud, and iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The song “El Tierno Se Fue” became the group’s first hit in 2011. He also gained recognition as a songwriter by writing and producing several hits such as, “A la Antigüita,” “Corrido de Juanito,” and “Simplemente Gracias.”
In 2022, he officially launched his solo career with the single “Chale,” becoming one of the breakout artists of 2022. This song trended on various platforms, generating millions of user-created videos and reaching 10 million listeners within 10 months. According to Billboard, the song marked a turning point in the industry, reaching No.1 on the “Regional Mexican Airplay” chart and remaining in the top 100 since it’s release.
That same year he released his first live album, La Historia Debe Continuar (Live Tour), as a prelude to his debut studio album Consejos Gratis, which featured the hits, “Bájale,” “Como Quieras Quiero,” and “Oficialmente en Soltería.” In 2023 he released Como En Los Viejos Tiempos in which Munoz aimed to convey the meaning of nostalgia both personally and artistically.
“I could define my career as a roller coaster of emotions. The endings of my previous projects were full of challenges… but they never made me stop feeling passionate about what I do… On the contrary, they reinforced my belief that music must be made with dedication, love, and responsibility, which strengthens my connection to nostalgia,” Muñoz said.
His latest single titled “Traigo Saldo y Ganas de Rogar” has served as a key driver for Eden Muñoz’s career development in 2024. This track is part of his third studio album Eden, which fully reflects his essence through complete creative freedom.
