GRUPO LABERINTO WILL BRING LATIN HITS TO FANTASY SPRINGS RESORT CASINO ON APRIL 28, 2023
JAN. 5, 2023 – INDIO, CA – Grupo Laberinto will deliver Latin hits when they bring their high energy show to the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Friday, April 28, 2023. Formed in 1987 in Ciudad Obregón in the Mexican state of Sonora, Grupo Laberinto is led by vocalist and songwriter Serapio “Sera” Ramirez and is known for corridos, rancheras, boleros, and cumbia.
The popular group made its recording debut playing this latter style, but quickly expanded its horizons to include rancheras, corridos, and ballads in its repertoire, a stylistic shift that widened the group’s appeal to other parts of Mexico as well as the United States. The corrido style, in particular, would score Grupo Laberinto their biggest hits, all of which are featured on such albums as Corridos Recien Horneados, Corridos Pesadisimos, and the collection Corridos de Grueso Calibre.
Between 2000 and 2009, the group toured constantly, establishing a large and dedicated fan base in the United States as well as Mexico.
After Corridos de Grueso Calibre, even more notable albums such as Profeta y Otros Caballos Famosos, and Corridos de Cuidado were issued. After the release of the acclaimed 2009 album Pienso en Ti, Grupo Laberinto toured for a year and a half before going on an extended hiatus before returning to the road in 2013. The group’s most recent album is Fuera de Serie.
In 2021, Grupo Laberinto was honored with a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars.
