FANTASY SPRINGS PRESENTS FRED “THE HAMMER” WILLIAMSON CELEBRITY INVITATIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENT BENEFITTING THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
JAN. 5, 2023 – INDIO, CA – Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and pro football defensive back Fred “The Hammer” Williamson & his wife Linda have joined forces for the 14th year to host The Fantasy Springs Resort Casino presents the Fred “The Hammer” Williamson Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project the weekend of January 13th and 14th, 2023.
The celebrity invitational golf tournament, which is open to the public, is played at the award-winning Eagle Falls Golf Course at Fantasy Springs on Saturday, January 13th. The event will raise funds for Wounded Warrior Project, an organization which honors and empowers our nation’s wounded service members by connecting warriors with peers, programs and communities, and empowering warriors to live life to the fullest. Wounded Warrior Project does this with a vision to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history. Tournament check-in is at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. shotgun tee off.
Former professional athletes and celebrities scheduled to participate in this year’s tournament include Tom Flores (NFL Hall of Fame), Anthony Miller (Former NFL football player), Louis Price (Former lead singer of The Temptations), Richard Roundtree (Actor, Shaft, Seven), Beverly Johnson (Supermodel and actress), Paul Warfield (NFL Hall of Fame), David Naughton (Actor, An American Werewolf In London), and Don ‘The Dragon’ Wilson (World Champion kickboxer).
Along with the exciting golf action at Eagle Falls comes a Friday night pairings party and silent auction at Fantasy Springs in TWELVE from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. Directly following Saturday’s golf tournament, an awards party will be held inside LIT at the resort.
Entry fees for the public: $275 per player or $1,000 for a foursome. Includes a round of golf (scramble format), pairings and awards parties (includes light buffet, no host bar), range balls, and lunch ($15 for non-golfers)
Sponsorship opportunities: Warrior: $4,000 includes (3) foursomes and tee sign
Hero: $2,000 includes (2) foursomes and tee sign
All fees are tax deductible and go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project.
